Our sports Clubs

Founded in 1877, Gosforth Rugby has a long and varied history,  from its formation from Durham School old boys, to the major success in the 70's winning the national John Player Cup, to its breakaway from Newcastle Falcons to its present  day in the Durham  & Northumberland leagues. Gosforth rugby Club joined with Newcastle City Cricket to form GSA in 1995 and made Broadway West its long term home. GRFC offer grass roots rugby from 3 to 43 year olds both boys and girls whatever their experience or skill level. 

. We are a warm and welcoming club who are always looking for new members. We provide two Saturday XI's playing in the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League. Our 3rd XI play midweek cricket in the Northumberland League C Division and we also boast one midweek team in the North East Mid-Week Cricket League.

We are particularly keen to attract new junior cricketers, as we develop and invest in strengthening our junior section. We now have a fully operating junior section with under 11 and under 15 teams.

 The Tyne Tees Tigers are an  Australian Rules Football Club based in Newcastle, and were founded in April 2012 from the remnants of the North East England league, which formerly comprised the Durham Saints, Gateshead Miners, Hartlepool Dockers, Middlesbrough Hawks, Newcastle Centurions and the Redcar Bombers.

In 2016 the Tigers found a new home at Gosforth Sports Association and triumphed against Merseyside Saints and Sheffield Thunder in the AFLCNE Plate competition to take their first League silverware. In 2017 the Tigers repeated this feat with a one sided victory over Merseyside Saints.

From 2018 the Tigers are  playing in the SARFL

 Since our formation in 2017, we have gone from strength to strength, establishing ourselves as an esteemed part of the UK baseball community; winning the 2019 Northern Baseball League Single A Playoff Championship in our first season and finishing runners up in our first season in the AA division playoffs.

This year (2022) we will be entering two teams in to the Northern Baseball League, we now are actively looking for new members of all levels and experience to join us.

Gosforth Harriers & AC is a small but competitive and successful club, based at Bohemians Sports Club in the Gosforth area of Newcastle.

We currently have a membership of about around 140 active members, ranging from children of eight years old up to competitive veterans.

We take part in competitions from local road, cross country, and track and field to all major national championships. 

Gosforth Harriers was founded in 1927.

The aim of the club is to encourage members to become active in competition, to become a team member and above all to enjoy the experience.  

Welcome to The Brown Ultimate Frisbee Club.
Based in the North East, our members have fun, play Ultimate and work together to develop their skills. The Club is open to people of all abilities and holds training sessions throughout the year.

We play on all surfaces (grass, indoors and beach), in all divisions (Open, Women's and Mixed) and in all weathers!

A family run club headed up by Cap'n Pete with dedicated volunteers raging from instructors to those providing shore support and more importantly the bait! The club has over 30 years of knowledge and dive experience of Recreational, Technical and Rebreather diving.
