This will comprise of a permanent backstop and high spec groundworks, and will be funded mainly through donations from their GoFundMe page. See their Facebook page for more info

There was a great turnout for the Newcastle Nighthawks baseball team, on their first match at their new home at Broadway West.
The Lord and Lady Mayoress of Newcastle came along to throw the first pitch, and they were joined by many enthusiastic (but chilly) supporters on the day. Hospitality was also in abundance with hot and cold drinks at the bar and a tasty bbq outside.
Thanks to all who supported, and volunteered to help on the day
