We have received funding towards the purchase of some mature trees which are being planted along the boundary of Broadway West adjacent to the main road. Twelve planted so far with another 14 to be put in. Thanks again to the Ward Committee from Newcastle City Council for helping us.

Remember, on non match weekends, training takes place on Sundays at Broadway West from 12.30. All welcome
GB Ladies Aussie Rules squad have chosen Broadway West for their training sessions on Sunday 29th March and Sunday 26th April.
Head coach Ian Mitchell said “We are excited to be coming up to the North East to aid our preparations for the International Cup later this year (The AFL International Cup is the premier tournament for international sides and is held every 3 years in Australia
We hope to see all the northern-based ladies who will be travelling to Australia as well as lots of our newer ladies from the north of England and Scotland. The recent development games have shown how footy has grown for ladies in Great Britain and the strength in depth that we are developing. I’ve been to the ground before and it’s always been a great venue for playing or training.”
The Tigers also have a friendly against Scotland Saturday April 25th.
